History
In 1936, Henderson built a two-story red brick Colonial home for the President on the site of an older home on the southeast corner of the campus facing Henderson Street. On the first floor of the new house were a living room, library or sitting room, formal dining room, breakfast room, kitchen, bedroom, and bath; on the second floor, three bedrooms and two baths. President Womack and his wife moved into the new home shortly before the opening of school in September, 1936. When the College acquired a new President's Home in 1969, the house became known as Henderson House, and served as the Alumni Association headquarters.
