History

Former Photos by Ross studio. Henderson acquired it from the Ross Foundation in 2004. As of 2022, it is the home of the Henderson Archeological Research Station. The Research Station is part of the Arkansas Archeological Survey, which is administered as a unit of the University of Arkansas System. The Henderson Research Station is one of 10 Survey research stations across the state.

The Research Station archeologist, Dr. Mary Beth Trubitt, is tasked with archeological research, teaching, and public service. She also teaches anthropology courses in the Henderson.

In September of 2025, the Honneycutt House was one of several poorly-maintained Henderson owned houses razed to make way for the Reddie Recreation Complex.
