History

On the afternoon of January 15, 1976, the Inter-Fraternity Council House burned. Formerly the lodge of the Arkadelphia Country Club and constructed principally of wood, the House was a total loss, according to insurance adjusters for the University. Henderson received $14,800 in insurance for the facility.

In October, 1976, the football dressing room on the old Haygood Field, northwest of the Panhellenic House, was designated as the “new” I.F.C. House, after appropriate remodeling of the building.
