Outdoor Basketball Courts

The earliest basketball games played at Henderson were organized by female students and took place on outdoor grass courts near Old Main. Teams like the Go-Gitters and the Winners competed in long skirts, shooting into hoops without backboards. Games eventually moved indoors when College Hall was built in 1915.
