History

In 1905, President Hinemon and his family moved from their apartment in Old Main to the two-story frame dwelling formerly the Boys' Home. Situated on the northwest corner of the campus, the President's Home contained eleven rooms. The President reserved one room in the northeast corner on the second floor for visitors, the room to be “open at all times to parents and friends of the College”.

After the College aquired a new President's Home, the house became the Senior Girls' Home in 1922, the Academy Building in 1923, and a temporary Men's Dormatory in 1928 after they had accidently burned down Goodloe Hall. The house itself burned down a year later.

In 1934, the College constructed new tennis courts on this site.
