History

When the College initiated a campus beautificatin project in 1927, students applauded the campaign to make their pretty campus even more beautiful. Workers had set out many evergreens and small trees over the campus. A number of climbing roses, planted on the southern edge of the campus along the iron fence, thrived until 1979, when all plants along the fence were cut down and cleared out.
