History
In the fall of 1934, student workers constructed two new tennis courts on the west campus on the site of the old Academy Building, north of what was then the campus driveway. These two courts were opposite the two dirt courts on the south side of the drive. In 1951, the courts were "moved" to Faculty Place to make way for the construction of Evans Hall.
Note the future Phi Sigma Kappa house and the original location of the former Turrentine home in the background of the photo.
