History
Though on private property across from campus on Highway 67, the Colonial Tavern was “coffee heaven” for students during the 1940's and 1950's. The restaurant, built and owned by Henderson alumnus Cecil Cupp, opened on Wednesday, November 29 1939.
Rubble and debris from what was likely its foundation still remain in the ravine across from the Entrance Fountain.
