Note
- Dr. James W. Workman was the last president of Henderson as a Methodist college. He was the first native Arkansan and the first alumnus to head the college. He wrote the Henderson Alma Mater Song, and his father, who was president from 1915-1926, gave Henderson its motto: "The School With A Heart." After graduating in 1919, Dr. Workman earned three degrees from Yale before returning as president.
